RICE UNIVERSITY INTERDISCIPLINARY COURSES
INTRODUCTION TO ECOLOGY & EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY
Rice University, Fall 2015
Students learned many aspects of ecology and evolutionary biology and engaged in outreach projects with the Houston Museum of Natural Science and Fossilized Houston. This class did an excellent job in creating a methodology for species selection of Fossilized Houston art. Exploration of conservation biology and its everyday relevancy was a major takeaway for students!
Students: Tristan Boss, Antonia Brown, Christian Capo, Davis Holmes Veronica Johnson, Nak Hyun Kim, Zack Kopplin, Rachel Lin, Nicky Meaux, Cody Mendez, Emily Rychener, Shiori Sageshima, and Robert Williamson.
Some of the climate-threatened species identified by EBIO 124 students, which were subsequently recommended to Fossilized Houston artists.
