cuban greater funnel-eared bat

The Cuban Greater Funnel-Eared Bat has only been found in Cueva La Barca, Cuba althoughits fossilized remains have been found in fourteen other locations in Cuba, the Isle of Pines, the Bahamas, and Grand Cayman. Ongoing threats to this species include habitat loss and human disturbance of their cave. Climatic changes could interrupt the thermal balance of the Cuban Greater Funnel-Eared Bat’s special “hot cave” habitat, resulting in their extinction.
