Emily Link was born in Syracuse, NY and raised in rural Pennsylvania. Since her transplant to Texas, she has worked to build an enriched cultural past in an environment that exists only for the future. Link received a BFA in Studio Painting from University of Houston in 2008. Her recent credits include Cover Artist for NANO Fiction, solo exhibitions at the EMERGEncy Room Gallery, BOX 13 ArtSpace and the Front in New Orleans, LA, grantee for the 2014 Rice Space Arts Initiative and HAA’s PODA 2.0 project, and curated group exhibitions at galleryHOMELAND in Portland, OR, Garfo Art Center in Salt Lake City, UT, and Oak Cliff Cultural Center in Dallas, TX. In addition, Link was a resident artist with Many Mini at Skydive in Houston in 2011, and the Aubrey Baer residency in Portland, OR in 2011. Link currently works as Community Relations Coordinator for Lawndale Art Center and as President at BOX 13 ArtSpace where she maintains her studio practice.
